CORPORATE SERVICE

To coordinate human resources and administration for non-teaching and teaching personnel. Corporate Services is also responsible for Ministerial finances and procurement.

BASIC EDUCATION

The Department of Basic Education exists to interpret education policies, design, develop, evaluate and ensure prompt delivery of quality education to learners from pre-primary to secondary education level through the coordination of in-service training, inspectorate and Out of School Education and Training (OSET). 

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT & EVALUATION

To interpret policies, design, develop and evaluate national curriculum and ensure prompt delivery of curriculum and support services for learners from pre-primary to senior secondary level.

SPECIAL SUPPORT SERVICES

The Department of Special Support Services develops policies and strategies that guide the implementation of Guidance & Counselling and Special Education programmes in order to facilitate the holistic development of all learners including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

EDUCATIONAL PLANNING AND RESEARCH SERVICES

Department of Educational Planning & Research Services (DEPRS) provides educational planning, statistics, monitoring & evaluation and research.

TECHNICAL SERVICES

The Department of Technical Services (DTS) provides technical support in the provision of infrastructure and facilities. Facilitate timely building, completion and maintenance of all education facilities required for the smooth operations of institutions.

ICT AND MEDIA SERVICES

The Department of ICT & Media Services (ICT & MS) directs, coordinates and monitors utilization of ICT and educational media services for the Ministry.

REGIONAL OPERATIONS

To manage and support curriculum delivery in Pre-Primary, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools and Out of School Education and Training in the region.
