The Unemployed Graduate Database

Overview

The Unemployed Graduate Database (UGD) administered by the Directorate of Public Service Management provides a platform for unemployed graduates without work experience to secure pensionable employment in the economy. Potential employers absorb graduates from the UGD for their existing vacancies.

Who is eligible?

Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree holders. Citizens only.

How do I get this service?

Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree holders can register online through the Directorate of Public Service Management website 

  1. Visit www.dpsm.gov.bw
  2. Click graduate registration, then new profile
  3. Click enter your personal information and fill in the personal details
  4. Click enter your educational information and fill in the educational details
  5. Enter security code and click submit
  6. You will receive an acknowledgement email that your registration is complete.
What supporting documents are required?

None.

How long will this service take?

Registration is completed immediately. Placement is determined by the availability of matching vacancies.

Solemnization of Marriage

Overview

The service is given to a couple who wishes to be joined in matrimony. The marriage is solemnized by the District Commissioner in accordance with the law.

Who is eligible?

One must

  • Be twenty one (21) years old or above
  • Widow / widower
  • Sane (Mentally fit ) persons
  • Divorced persons
How do I get this service?
  • The couple should present themselves in person at the time of registration and at the time of solemnization. 
  • Any witness above twenty one (21) years for each party.
What supporting documents are required?

A certified copy of a valid National Identity card (Omang).

How long will this service take?

Filling of Solemnization forms twenty one (21) days before the marriage is solemnized.

District Commisioners Offices throughout Botswana.

How much does it cost?

P 40.00 for banns, P 90.00 for special.

Use of National Emblems

Overview

This service is mainly a formal request to use the Flag and  the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Botswana by local companies, enterprises etc.

Who is eligible?

Companies, Organisations and other Independent Enterprises that are not part of Government of Botswana.

How do I get this service?

A formal Request  is sent to the Permanent Secretary to the President. The letter should include the Company Registration, Directors and clear mandate of the company, organisation etc.

What supporting documents are required?
  • Letter from the applicant bearing Postal Address, phone number and reasons for request
  • Certified Copy of valid national identity card from applicant
  • Company profile, for businesses
  • Copy of Company Registration/ Certificate of incorporation, samples and pictures indicating how the national symbol will be used.
  • Copy of Shareholders and Directors information.
How long will this service take?

A response is done in ten (10) days .
